Beloit High School Seniors Hunter Budke (upper left), Ryan Jackson (upper right) and Caydren Cox (lower left), all signed Letters of Intent on Wednesday's National Signing Day to compete at the next level in collegiate football. Budke is headed to Fort Hays State University, Cox is going to Concordia University in Seward Nebraska, and Jackson has signed to play at Ottawa University. Read more about the players below. Hunter Budke, who spent the majority of his career at TE in Beloit's offense, had a breakout year at FB this past season for the Trojans. He ran for 1,283 yards and 20 TD in the 8 games he played in 2016. He was also selected a 1st Team All-NCAA RB this past season and was a 1st Team TE & DL in 2015 and garnered 2nd team honors as a Sophomore at both of those positions.
Caydren Cox was the second leading rusher in Beloit's double wing offense in 2016, running for 727 yards and 8 TD. He was also Beloit's leading tackler with 110 total stops in his final season. As a Junior, Cox ran for over 1,000 yards and 18 TD and had a team high 122 total tackles on defense. Cox was a 1st Team All-NCAA LB in 2016 and a 2nd Team RB. He was also 1st Team All-NCAA at both positions in 2015.
Ryan Jackson stepped in at QB on offense the past two seasons for the Trojans. He threw for 775 yards and 8 TD in 2016 in the run first offense. He also had 42 tackles and 3 interceptions on defense, helping him gain 2nd Team All-NCAA honors at DB. In his two seasons at QB, he threw for a total of 1,350 yards and 18 TD for the Trojans.
