After Bruce Graber announced that he was stepping away after seven seasons with the Sacred Heart football program in October, the Knights were looking for their next leader. On Wednesday, Sacred Heart announced Garrett Galanski as their next head coach. Galanski will be one of the youngest coaches in the area, as he is just 25 years old and accepting his first high school head coaching position. A native of Bakersfield, CA, and currently living in California, Galanski does have some Kansas connections. In 2012 & 2013, he was a member of the Ottawa University football team and in his senior year in 2013, he was a 1st-team all-KCAC pick on the offensive line. He also spent two years as an assistant at Ottawa under coach Kent Kessinger.
