Sacred Heart Boys Basketball coach Pat Martin was informed on Thursday that his contract would not be renewed for the 2018-19 season.  Martin and the Knights have enjoyed much success in his 11 seasons at the helm.  Sacred Heart went 202-65 with eight state tournament appearances.  The Knights made it to the 2A title game two straight years.  They won the championship in 2017 at Bramlage Coliseum, beating St. John-Hudson 59-51.  In 2016 in the championship, they were favored, but fell to Jackson Heights.  Sacred Heart also has an active streak of 40-straight wins in the North Central Activities Association.  They've won the league title each of the last four years, going 47-1 against NCAA opponents over that span.  In 2018, Sacred Heart finished third place in 2A.  Martin and a player were suspended by the school for the first game of the tournament for a self-reported minor rules violation.
