Concordia graduate Cydney Bergmann has been named the Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Bergmann capped an outstanding Concordia career playing in the KBCA All-Star Game last Saturday night in Salina.  Bergmann was a member of the Blue team that suffered a tough 84-80 loss to the White, but she scored 13 points and added four rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots in the win.  Bergmann was a 1st-team all-state pick by the KBCA this past season in 4A-DII.  She led Concordia with 18.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 3.5 apg and 2.7 spg while shooting 47% from the floor.  She finished her career 2nd all-time in scoring and assists at Concordia High School.  She is set to play basketball at Fort Hays State in the upcoming school year.  Bergmann enjoyed success in many different athletic realms with the Lady Panthers.  She was also a 1st-team all-state pick by the KVA in volleyball and she won three medals at state track and field this past May, finishing 5th in the 100m dash, 8th in the 100m hurdles and was on the 4x100m relay team that took 2nd place in 4A.
