Rock Hills Senior Zane Colson has been named the Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Colson has done a majority of the heavy lifting for the Rock Hills Grizzlies on their way to an 8-Man DII District 4 championship on the football field.  In Friday night's 34-12 district championship win over St. John's/Tipton, Colson carried the ball 47 times for 310 yards, 4 TD and 2 PAT.  He also had 20 tackles a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery on defense in the victory.  Colson's numbers in the last three games have been nothing short of eye-popping.  He has run for 883 yards on 85 carries, an average of 10.4 ypc and also has 13 rushing TD's in the past three weeks.  Included in that was a career high 339 yards and 5 TD in Rock Hills' 48-0 win over Southern Cloud on October 5.  On the season, he has rushed for 1,264 yards and 19 scores.  In the last two weeks on defense, Colson has registered 46 total tackles and six tackles for loss.  He leads Rock Hills with 105 tackles and 17 TFL this season.
