As part of the 2019 National Signing Day on Wednesday, Rock Hills Senior Dereck Gillett officially signed his letter of intent to play football at Benedictine College.  The Ravens were the NAIA National Runner-up in 2018.

Gillett played QB in high school, but at 6'3", 190 is expected to transition to WR for the Ravens.  Gillett missed half of the 2018 season due to a shoulder injury, but was effective when he played, throwing for 468 yards, and average of just under 94 yards per game and had 8 TD and 3 INT.  Rock Hills went 8-2 on the season and in their two playoff games, he threw for most of his season yards, combining for 436 yards and 7 TD in a win against Doniphan West and a loss to Axtell.
