Rock Hills senior Zane Colson signed a letter of intent on Thursday to compete at the collegiate level in both football and wrestling at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.  Colson has excelled during his senior season in both sports.

On the football field, for the 8-2 Rock Hills Grizzlies, he racked up 1,915 all-purpose yards with 1,492 rushing and 24 touchdowns on the ground.  He finished his career with 4,236 yards and 64 TD rushing.  He was also the leading tackler on defense, making 147 stops and 18 TFL in his final season.

On the wrestling mats, Colson is a 3-time state qualifier and placed 4th in 2018 at 152 lbs.  He is having a career year as a senior, though.  During the regular season, he wrestles for Beloit and after going 5-0 and winning the NCAA league title at 152 on Thursday, he is now 32-0 on the season and ranked #1 in that weight class in 3-2-1A by the KWCA.
