Osborne Senior Afftin Conway has been named the Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Conway is off to a fast start on the track this season for the Osborne Bulldogs.  In three meets, she has already accumulated 12 medals, with 11 being golds.  Last time out, on Tuesday, April 9, she swept the gold medals in her four events at the Stockton Invitational.  She won the 100m dash in 12.72, the 200m dash in 27.17, the 100m hurdles in 15.44 and the 300m hurdles in 48.49.  She also accomplished the gold medal sweep at the Hoxie Invitational last Friday, April 5, taking first place in the 100m (13.10), 200m (28.42, 100m hurdles (15.91) and 300m hurdles (50.00).  In the first meet of the season on Tuesday, April 2 at the St. John's Invitational in Beloit, Conway took home three 1st place medals (100m, 12.49; 100m hurdles, 15.37; 300m hurdles, 48.41) and a silver medal (200m, 28.34).  Conway is the defending state champion in Class 1A in the 100m dash and the 300m hurdles and is looking to claim more state hardware in 2019.
