The Kansas Volleyball Association hosted their annual All-Star Match on Saturday night at Washburn's Lee Arena in Topeka.  The Red Team defeated the Blue Team 4-1 in the five-set match.  The Blue Team won the first set 25-20 with the Red Team taking the next four 25-17, 27-25, 25-23 and 15-13.  Elizabeth Hardacre of Thunder Ridge was a member of the winning Red Team, while Breezy Schroeder from Beloit and Gracen Hutchinson of Smith Center played for the Blue Team.

Also at the event, the Beloit Lady Trojans volleyball team was named the 3A Program of the Year by the KVA.  The criteria for the award is based on the current year record and finish, repetitive success, improvement of an existing program, junior varsity/underclassmen success, professional involvement, contributions to the improvement of volleyball and personal coaching improvement.  The Lady Trojans went 37-6 and finished third place in the 3A State Tournament.
