Beloit's Jon Bingesser recently competed in the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM.  The event is the largest multi-sport championship event in the world for seniors and features all athletes over the age of 50.  It was held June 14-25 and over 13,700 athletes competed in 20 medal sports.

Bingesser finished in the top 10 in the country in seven different events.  He was the national champion in the triple jump with a jump of 25'0 3/4".  That mark was three feet better than the second place finisher.  Bingesser also brought home 2nd place in two events, the long jump (10'9 1/2") and the discus (92'5").  He also finished 4th place in the shot put (34'11 3/4") and javelin (99'4"), 7th in the hammer throw (69'11") and 9th in the 50m run (9.37).
