Osborne senior Steele Wolters has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Wolters was instrumental in helping lead Osborne to a 40-6 win over Sylvan-Lucas in the 2nd round of the 8-Man DII Playoffs on Friday night in Osborne.  After losing one of their top players, Darrien Holloway, to a foot injury early in the game, Wolters stepped up from his QB position, as he has many times this season to lead Osborne to the win.  He ran for 168 yards on 18 carries (9.3 ypc) with 5 rushing TD.  He also completed 9-11 passes for 77 yards in the win.  Wolters registered 16 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense as well.  On the season, Wolters has now rushed for 707 yards and 15 TD and has 487 yards and 11 TD passing compared to just one interception.  He is also second on the team with 102 tackles and leads the defense with three interceptions this season.
