Osborne senior Darrien Holloway has been named the Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Holloway made a surprise comeback to the football field on Saturday afternoon and helped lead Osborne to a 52-26 win over Central Christian in the 8-Man DII State Football semis in Osborne.  Holloway's season was expected to be over after he suffered a toe injury in the second round of the playoffs against Sylvan-Lucas on November 8.  However, he was cleared to play during the middle of last week and he had an outstanding day against Central Christian.  Holloway ran the ball 29 times for 195 yards and three touchdowns in the win which propelled Osborne to the State Championship this Saturday against Axtell.  He also registered a team high 12 tackles on defense on Saturday.  On the season, Holloway has run for 1,165 yards on 124 carries (9.4 ypc) with 22 rushing TD.  He has a total of 1,556 all-purpose yards with 27 total TD.  He also has 68 tackles and two interceptions on defense.

We will announce the winners each week. Remember, you can nominate an athlete from any school sport.
