This week, we continue the Telephone and Cable Senior Athlete Spotlight.  Each week we'll spotlight a male and female athlete from area schools.  We continue with Osborne Bulldog seniors Vaughn Stull and Rhyann Brown.

Stull was instrumental in the success of both the football and boys basketball teams throughout the past couple seasons, but elevated his game as a senior.  In football he was named a 1st team all-district receiver catching six passes for 123 yards and three touchdowns in the run heavy offense.  He also had a great year defensively, registering 52 tackles and four interceptions.  Osborne went 13-0 and won the 8-Man DII State Championship.  On the hardwood, Stull averaged 12.2 ppg, 4.4 apg, 3.2 rpg and 2.7 spg while shooting 50% from the floor and 42% from beyond the three-point arc.  He was a 3rd team all-NPL selection in 2019-20 as a part of a team that went 19-1.

Brown also had a solid year for the Lady Dogs in 2019-20.  On the volleyball court in the fall, she was named a 2nd-team all-NPL pick for the second straight season.  She registered 121 kills, 32 blocks and 29 aces this past season.  She followed that up with a great season on the basketball court.  A third-team all-NPl pick for the second year in a row, she contributed in all areas, averaging 9.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 3.3 spg and 2.5 apg.  She shot 46% from the floor and 63% from the FT line for the 15-9 Lady Dogs.  Brown has also excelled in track & field in her career and is set to attend and compete at Fort Hays State.  Her specialty has been the javelin where she placed 3rd in 1A state as a sophomore and 4th as a junior in the same event.
