This week, we continue the Telephone and Cable Senior Athlete Spotlight.  Each week we'll spotlight a male and female athlete from area schools.  We continue with Beloit Trojan seniors Grant Arasmith and Trista Boeve.

Arasmith played key roles for both the football and basketball teams over the past season at Beloit.  Arasmith was actually forced into a more important role at QB as a junior for the Trojans when he threw for 600 yards and ran for another 500.  As a senior, he moved back to RB, rushing for 592 yards and 9 TD and adding 151 yards and 2 TD receiving.  He was the second leading tackler on the Trojan defense with 77 total stops while adding two fumble recoveries and an interception.  Arasmith was a 1st team all-NCAA DB and 2nd team all-league RB.  On the basketball court, he averaged 3 ppg and 3 rpg but played a key hustle role for the 21-3 Trojans.

Boeve has been a key contributor for the Lady Trojans during her senior season as well.  During the volleyball season in the fall, she was an honorable mention all-NCAA pick registering 209 kills, 74 blocks and 29 aces for the 3A State runner-up squad that went 41-4.  She was also a starter for the Lady Trojans basketball team that went 15-7 and won the NCAA league title.  Boeve is the definition of a student-athlete, as she is a Kansas Honor Scholar, a Beloit Black Shirt Recipient and has been on first honor roll all four years of high school, maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school.  She plans to major in Medical Diagnostic Imaging at Fort Hays State University, where she has received a Black & Gold Scholarship.
