For the sixth consecutive time, the Sacred Heart Knights boys golf team has claimed the 2A State Championship.  At Salina Municipal Golf Course over the last two days, the Knights combined for a score of 621, 63 strokes ahead of second place Sterling with 684.  Plainville's Parker Krob finished as the individual state champion, shooting 1-under for the tournament, but the Knights had two top ten individual finishers, led by Caleb Gilliland in second place at 4-over par and Kameron Shaw in 4th at 10-over.  Sacred Heart won the 2A state title from 2015-19 and claimed it again in 2021 after the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID.

At the Class 1A State Meet in Emporia, the second day was cancelled due to rain and lightning.  As voted on when the state golf format was changed to a 2-day championship, in lieu of postponing the second day to a different date, scoring reverts back to one day to determine the champion.  Frankfort was in the lead after day one as a team, finishing with a team score of 347.  The Osborne Bulldogs ended up with a score of 358 to bring home the 2nd place trophy.  Individually, Trent Mars of Centralia was the state champion with a 78.  Osborne's Brandon Befort tied for 5th place but was just three strokes off the lead with an 81.
