Six athletes from Beloit competed last week in the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston, TX in Track & Field.
On Monday, Tatum Seyfert won the National Championship in the 14-year-old Girls Shot Put at 48'1 3/4". Addison Budke finished 10th place in that event. Budke also finished 33rd in the nation in the 14-year-old Girls Long Jump. Also on Monday, In the 14-year-old Boys Shot Put on Monday, Eli Johnson finished in 16th place. Eli followed that up on Tuesday with a 9th place finish in the 14-year-old Boys Discus.
On Wednesday, Tatum Seyfert took 2nd place in the 14-year-old Girls Discus with a throw of 115'2" and in the 12-year-old Boys Shot Put, Griffin Johnson brought home 2nd place with a throw of 42'9".
On Thursday, Griffin Johnson took 5th place in the 12-year-old Boys Discus competition and Autumn Lorenz placed 8th in the 14-year-old Girls Javelin.
On Friday, Meeka Jordan wrapped up the week for the Beloit athletes finishing in 14th place in the 8 & under Girls Turbo Javelin.
