Lakeside's Connor Shoemaker has been named the NCKS Sports.com/Cunningham Telephone & Cable Athlete of the Week. 
   

Shoemaker continues to be the cornerstone of the Lakeside offense and key component to the Knight's 9-1 record.  Over the past three games, all wins for Lakeside, Shoemaker averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, and shot 68% from the floor.  Against Pike Valley on Tuesday, Jan.12th, Shoemaker scored 18 points on 7-9 shooting.  On Friday, Connor erupted for 23 points on 11-15 from the floor and snared 9 rebounds.  Shoemaker continued his solid play on Monday at the PTL Tournament against Pike Valley, scoring 17 points and hauling in 8 rebounds.

On the season, Shoemaker is averaging 16.1 points and 7 rebounds per contest, both team highs.

His coach Kyle Beisner adds that Shoemaker leads as well, "Conner is one of the hardest workers we have in practice, setting an example for others to follow."
