Beloit's Braden Sahlfeld has been named the NCKS Sports.com/Cunningham Telephone & Cable Athlete of the Week.    

Braden competed in the Wakeeney Golden Eagle Powerlifting meet on March 6, 2010 and brought home 3 gold medals and one silver medal. Braden was entered in the 123 lb weight class although he only weighed 117.5 lbs. He received 1st place in Bench Press-and lifted 185 lbs., 1st place in Squat and he lifted 295 lbs and broke the previous meet record of 235 lbs. in his first lift, he placed 2nd in Cleans and lifted 165 lbs. He was also awarded the Gold medal for the Overall lifter in the 123 lb. class. His total amount lifted was 645 lbs.
