Beloit sophomore Bailey Brown & St. John's junior Vanessa Kresin have been named the NCKS Sports.com/Cunningham Telephone & Cable Athletes of the Week.

Brown brought home 4 medals and helped the Lady Trojans to 12 team points in class 3A from the 2010 State Track and Field Championships in Wichita this past weekend, finishing 3rd in the 400 (1:00.11), 5th in the long jump (16 feet, 4 inches), 6th in the 200 (27.02), and 7th in the 4 x 400 relay (4:17.99)

Kresin also scored 12 team points in class 1A for St. John's.  Kresin won the gold & a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in  the javelin with a throw of 132 feet and 7 inches. She also finished 6th in the 800 meter run (2:30.06).
