The third annual Kansas vs. Nebraska 8-Man All-Star game took place June 26th at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. A lopsided opening quarter helped Nebraska win in dominant fashion 58-20.

Nebraska's first score came after a blocked Kansas punt and Nebraska led 20-0 after the first quarter. They went into halftime up 26-0.

Nebraska had a huge advantage in the passing game compiling 423 yards through the air to Kansas' 115. Kansas also turned the ball over six times to Nebraska's three.

Area participants who played for the Kansas team included:

Matthew Broeckelman of Rock Hills: played on defense. Had 1 interception returned for 20 yards.

Josh Wessling of St. John's-Tipton: 15 carries for 64 yards.
