Beloit Girls Compete at Rock Hills
by Jenny Isbell

The Beloit Lady Trojans Cross Country team traveled to Mankato to compete in the "Rock Hills Hill Climber Classic" on Thursday September 9. The title "Hill Climber" says it all. "The course was very challenging and I have to say that it is one of the toughest courses that we run all year. It is great experience for the girls and they all did a fantastic job attacking the hills," states Coach Isbell. The Beloit girls' team brought home third place medals with 46 points. Lincoln won the meet with 18 points and Osborne placed second with 24 points. This meet used the top 4 runners to figure in team scores, instead of the top 5 runners as in other meets.

Individually, Kim Mealiff picks up the 9th place medal with a time of 19:05. Amber Robinson brought home the 12th place medal with a great time of 19:46. Hannah Smith competed in her first cross country race ever placing 23rd with 26:59 and Aspen Davies ran 27:01 for 24th.

The Lady Trojans will run on Thursday September 16th at Smith Center starting at 4:30.
