Lakeside Senior Miles Thomas has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Thomas had a big weekend at the KEMFA 1A State Powerlifting Championships in Claflin.  Thomas started by winning the individual state championships in the Squat (500 lbs.) and the Clean (335 lbs.), while also getting second in the Bench (310 lbs.) in his 220 pound weight class.  Those numbers helped him win the overall State Championship at 220 with 1145 total pounds lifted.  That number also set a new STATE RECORD in total pounds lifted by over 25 lbs.  Miles also placed 1st overall in the meet for total weight lifted.
