MAILE HRABE, Women's Basketball

Smith Center Senior Maile Hrabe has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Hrabe has helped lead the Smith Center Lady Red basketball team to a 17-3 regular season and the #1 seed in the upcoming Ellis 2A Sub-State.  Hrabe was outstanding in wins ove Trego and Beloit in the past week.  On Tuesday night in the 57-25 win over Beloit, she scored a career-high 30 points, including a 13-point third quarter.  She shot 10-19 from the floor and made five three-pointers in the win.  She also added three rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots in the victory over Beloit.  Against Trego on Friday, Hrabe scored 24 points on 9-16 shooting with three three-pointers.  She also had four steals and three assists in the 71-49 win in Smith Center.  On the season, Hrabe is averaging 17.7 ppg while shooting 45% from the floor, 34% from three-point land and 61% from the free throw line.  She has made a team high 44 three-pointers this season.  She is also adding 3.6 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.5 spg for the Lady Red in 2022-23.
