35 Area Athletes Set to Compete at KSHSAA State Wrestling
35 athletes from the NCKSSports.com area will take the mats at the new three-day KSHSAA State Wrestling Tournaments set to take place at Tony's Pizza Events Center in Salina this weekend. There are 27 wrestlers competing in the 3-2-1A boys tournament, three in the 4A boys tournament and five in the 4-1A girls tournament. Three rounds of the tournament will take place on Friday with competition starting at 9:00 for 4A boys, 1:30 for 4-1A girls and 5:15 for 3-2-1A boys on Thursday. Three more rounds will take place on Friday with 4A boys starting at 9:00, 4-1A girls at noon and 3-2-1A Boys at 2:00. The final rounds will be Saturday with the consolation semis, 5th Place, 3rd Place and Championship finals taking place.
